Hi, I'm Tim Collins.
I'm an executive coach, facilitator and strategic adviser. I help leaders, teams and organisations get better at the human stuff – empathy, engagement, relationships – because technical and professional brilliance isn't enough on its own. It never really was, and in the age of AI it definitely isn't.
I came to this work after decades doing the roles I now coach people through. I started in strategic HR at Australia's largest bank, then spent years in communications and project development consulting in the UK and Australia, working across the built environment and major infrastructure.
Then came ten years on Australia's largest public transport project. As part of the Sydney Metro integrated team, I led the core function of business case development and provided strategic support to the CEO and leadership team. I drove four major organisational transformations. I'm proud to have contributed to delivering sustainable and accessible public transport for Sydney.
Along the way I worked with – and learned from – leaders of organisations big and small: from chief executives of Australia's largest projects and listed companies to founders of boutique consulting firms. Now I coach, facilitate, train and advise people facing the same challenges I faced, across professional services, infrastructure, property, technology, planning, the creative industries, and the NSW and Australian, public services.
I'm an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation, and a Certified Organisational Coach (Level 2) with the Institute for Executive Coaching & Leadership. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Honours I) from UNSW and a Graduate Diploma in Communication Management from UTS.
Outside work, I'm an enthusiastic amateur jazz saxophonist, occasional sourdough baker and mediocre local footballer. Only one of those things is improving.
Curious whether we'd work well together?
